fairy

i'm not the type of girl who, since 5 years old has been obsessively planning my wedding in my head. in fact, i'm the girl who cringes when my friends start talking about it, and run away as they try to put fake engagement rings on my finger. true story.
anyways, when i saw this dress, i couldn't help but envision it as my perfect wedding dress. SO KILL ME.

i mean. it's gorgeous. it's so ethereal, flowing, and looks like it belongs to a fairy god princess, which i secretly aspire to be. i want it.

...i think i'll start saving for it now, maybe i will have the money for it when i'm 28

grayskies,greyclouds,greyknickers

i am thoroughly enjoying this uncharacteristically dismal and wet weather for southern california. although i realize that i could effectively be exiled to a far away land for saying that. people down here really like their sun and constant high temperatures, to say the least. the whole county shuts down when it rains. i kid you not.

so, the weather reports for the next few days promise the same, and i continue to sit with my heating pad and watch will & grace. and drink "hot coco" (coffee with cocoa powder, organic milk, and one stevia packet. i promise it's good).

this is so good. it's like a 100x cooler alternative to j crew. the main thing i love about jack and lazaro (yeah, we're old friends and i call them by their first names) is the way they constantly produce clothes that feel fresh and just so cool. i think that's the best word i can use to describe what they put out, cool. i want some of this cool.

p.s. i love you

god. come to me.

something i'm not so impressed with? the louise golding for topshop shoes.

i mean... has this been done before, or has this been done before? yeah i get it, they're shoes with studs and that's what the kids want and all. but, i think that phase is done. or i hope it is.

so, the moral of the story is... cats and birds>studs and rhinestones. no?

first

alright listen up, it's about time i get serious about blogging. as an avid follower of around 20 (ish) various fashion blogs, a devoted minion of phoebe philo, a worshipper of fashion and all it has to offer, and since i've been meaning to do so for about a year and 2010 is all about PROACTIVITY and crap, the time has come for me to create my own place to speak my peace (piece? whatever.) ALRIGHT, a few things one should know about me (although, i recognize that no one is yet aware of/reading this blog. YET.)
-i'm 20. i currently live in orange county (gross, i know). however, if all goes to plan, come june i will relocate to los angeles to finish my bachelors degree and participate in various forms of debauchery that the "oc" does not offer. which is a lot. one of these things being the cheeseboards at joans on third.
- although i have a deep appreciation for all types of garments, shoes top the list. i love shoes. i recognize that i am far from alone in saying this. the latter statement does not negate the former. it's unhealthy.
-i don't like capital letters, so don't expect me to use them all that much. unless i'm trying to emphasize something, or if i'm feeling particularly powerful that day. don't judge me.
-on this blog, i will write about things i may be feeling, or not feeling, post pictures, both of myself and of others that inspire me, things i want, things that want me (kidding), pictures of my lunch... basically anything i want. because it's mine and i can.
